The heart of Somerset, Esk is best known for its stunning backdrop of Mount Glen Rock. Stroll down the main street and enjoy boutique cafes, gift and antique shops, country pubs and more.  Diversity is the key to Esk – our region has it all!

Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.  Pack your bike, hiking boots or your horse and trek along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.  The path traces the former train corridor from Fernvale to Yarraman and is over 160km long in total.  You can do small sections at a time or the whole trek at once.  The path is accessible via any of the well-preserved former railway stations along the route (and is right at your doorstep during your stay with us).

Lake Wivenhoe.   There is boating, camping, fishing and loads more to do in a weekend at Lake Wivenhoe. Covering 33,000 hectares, the lake restricts the use of certain boats, making it an ideal destination for those looking for a relaxed break. They also say that Lake Wivenhoe is the place to go for Australia’s best bass fishing.

Out There Cycling. Open by appointment only – 0466 306 371.  Join Out there cycling for an adventure packed, social day on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail or another of our rides.  We welcome any fitness level or age.  With two shop fronts now open, Toogoolawah and Esk, booking is even easier.
